Representatives of more than 84 countries meet in autumn (October – November) each year for a 4-5 days workshop to select the problems for the International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest (IKMC). Several months before this annual meeting each country proposes a good number of original problems for each level of the contest. The representatives of each country have an access to the collections of all proposed problems. Before going to the annual meeting in autumn, all the members study these problems carefully, they make comments and suggest corrections wherever needed. In the workshop best and the most original problems are chosen. During the workshop the experts make sure that each problem is an original problem and did not appear in any book or any contest before. Participating countries all over the world use these selected problems for the IKMC on the third Thursday of March every year.
